Sharol Acheson
Nine years ago, a colleague encouraged Sharol Acheson to attend a business meeting to see what Zonta was all about. She liked what she saw and been a member since. During those nine years, she has served on the Board of Directors twice, co-chaired the Fundraising Committee, and was the Service Committee chair. She enjoys the multiplicity of women in the organization and their passion for equality for women here and abroad.
Sharol grew up in Wyoming and graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Philosophy. After college she spent some time teaching English in Japan and returned to the vast blue skies of the West and worked as a Marketing Manager at a private collectibles company in Cheyenne, WY. Eleven years ago she made the move to Big Sky country and got married, became a step parent to two great kids and had her daughter in 2002. Currently she works for Prudential Insurance Company on the compliance end of business as an Operations and Controls Associate
Sharol is an avid reader, loves to garden and has been a sports enthusiast since she was a child. A knee injury sidelined her from running last fall so she is now embracing the sport of cycling. Of late, she has been a devoted and tired soccer and baseball mom and will soon add cross country to the list.
